Stranded: Top 3 Movies

Hi all! Thanks for joining me today for Stranded with Erika and Shay! If you're new here, please say hello in the comments below- I'd love to hear from you! You can follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Bloglovin' too!

Today, we're talking about the 3 movies we'd bring to watch on a deserted island. First up, my childhood favorite: Wayne's World! Yes, I said childhood favorite! The movie follows Wayne and Garth on their way to talk show stardom. I grew up on 90's SNL and can remember my aunt taking me and my cousins to see Wayne's World in St. Louis. Of course, 80% of the jokes went straight over my head as a kid, but my friend and I used to dress up as Wayne and Garth (I was Garth, duh!) to do skits for our parents on vacation! As I got older and understood the jokes more, this movie became even funnier to me. My little brother and I even watched it 30 nights in a row one summer, so years later, I can pretty much quote the entire movie. Below are some of my favorites:

Next up on my list is I Love You, Man with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Paul Rudd's character, Peter, lacks male friends, so he sets out to make some so he can have groomsmen at his wedding. I had never been to the movie theater by myself until I went to see this movie, and what a perfect first movie! I laugh my butt off EVERY.SINGLE.TIME that I watch it! The humor is a little raunchy at times, but one of the reasons why I like this movie is how they edit it for television. The way it is edited is hilarious, so if you need the PG-13 version of this movie, catch it on TBS or E! some time.

Last on my list is one of our family favorites, Big Hero 6. The film follows Hiro and his quest to avenge his older brother's death. He's joined by his brother's friends and Baymax, an adorable, do-good robot. This movie will make you experience every emotion within 90 minutes and has several great reminders including the power of friendship, revenge is never the answer, and your loved ones are never really gone.

So tell me in the comments below- what 3 movies could you watch over and over again? Come back tomorrow to link up with me for Try It Thursday! Summer may be over, but you'll love the dessert I have waiting for you! See you soon!

    1. Is it bad that I would like a personal healthcare companion/crime fighter in my house? My kids bought me a Funko Pop Head of Baymax for my classroom!

    1. My teammates and I were just talking the other day about Paul Rudd and how he hasn't aged since Clueless, which I could probably watch a million times too! I loved him in This is 40 - I thought that one was so underrated.

  4. I would consider Wayne's World a childhood favorite too!! I blame it on my parents getting divorced when I was super young. We always watched it at my dads!! Great picks!
