On Friday night, Robert whisked me away to Carrabba's for a date night. We sat at the pizza oven bar, and I got my absolute favorite soup, Mama Mandola's Sicilian Chicken Soup - so good!
On Saturday, we had back to back soccer games. The kids went to play at Sue-Sue's house, so Robert and I had another date, this time at La Madeleine. If I had to choose my last meal on earth, it's most definitely La Madeleine's Country Potato Soup and a chocolate croissant. I salivate just thinking about that soup!
This summer, I discovered Mix and Match Mama's delicious lemon Neiman Marcus bars. You can find my blog post about those HERE. On Saturday, I decided to try her Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Neiman Marcus Bars. Well, I'm telling you about this recipe because maybe you're into a soft, creamy pumpkin flavor. Apparently, I'm not! I thought these bars were just okay. I used a triple chocolate cake mix, and it came out really dry. Maybe a Devil's food cake mix would be better? If you try this recipe and put your own spin on it, let me know how it goes!
Yesterday, my procrastination finally subsided, and I got to work on our Halloween costumes. Let's just say there's lots of silver sparkle and black fabric involved! If you need some Halloween decorating inspiration, head on over to Cara's blog, Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour!
Join me back here tomorrow for Momfessionals' Show and Tell Tuesday- we're talking names, nicknames, and quirks! Have a great Monday- see you soon!
