Last week, I shared my favorite gift ideas for the big and little boys in your life. You can view that post HERE. Today, I wanted to share my ideas for all of the fabulous females in your life! Most of the gifts I'm sharing can be found at your local Target or online. Don't forget that Target is offering free shipping for the rest of the holiday season!
I'm not really a bracelet kind of girl, but I do live for a statement necklace! One of my students gave me a gorgeous one from New York and Company a few years back, and I always get compliments on it. While I love the hints of color in it, a necklace more like THIS will get more mileage.
If you do want some fun colors, try THIS:
I also have a few pieces from Purple Peridot including THIS necklace:
Follow them on Instagram to get a heads-up on sales, and if you're in Houston, Sam Moon is always a hot spot for trendy jewelry on the cheap.
Pajamas and Robe
I don't know any woman who would be angry about receiving some cozy p.j.s or a nice robe. I just purchased THESE pajama pants during Target's BOGO sale:
I've had my Gilligan & O' Malley robe for years. It's similar to THIS one:
While that robe is really comfy, it does get a little too warm to wear in Texas in the summer. If you're in a climate similar to mine, THIS one might be a bit better:
While I love to go get pedicures at the nail salon, the cost quickly adds up, and I don't treat myself too often to save some money. About once or twice a week, I use THIS tool after a shower:
I rub on THIS lotion:
And then I put on cozy socks similar to THESE:
For manicures at home, I highly recommend Sally Hansen Inst-Dri polishes.
OPI and Defy & Inspire also have some cute little holiday sets, too.
My favorite top coat is THIS one:
Every few nights, I like to do a mask to help keep my skin clear. THIS one from Boots Botanics has been compared to Glam Glow:
THIS one from Freeman is also great:
I also love Pixi's Glow Tonic:
I love getting magazine subscriptions - they're the gift that keep on giving (for at least 12 months!) My mom and I get subscriptions to different magazines so that we can read and then swap with each other. A lot of these magazines are offered in package deals as well. My favorites are:
BooksIf the gal you're purchasing for this season is a bibliophile, here are three of my picks for Christmas:
Cooking for Jeffrey: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook
Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries
Target Gift Card
When in doubt, you can't go wrong with a gift card to your girl's favorite store. For some it might be Nordstrom, T.J. Maxx, or Old Navy. For me, it's Tar-zhay all the way! :)
And now for the littlest girls in your life!
The Easter Bunny brought THIS show horse stable set to Ari a few years ago, and it gets played with ALL of the time! There's space to write in names of each of the horses, and the stable is very well made. The horses are a sturdy, thick plastic and stand up to a lot of play.
Ari is 4 years old and is now working on regular sized Legos. Continuing with the horse theme, she asked Santa to bring her a couple of new sets. Santa is bringing THIS set:
Her grandma is getting her THIS set:
Her other grandparents are getting her THIS set:Fur Real Friends
A few years ago, Santa brought Ari a unicorn from Fur Real Friends. Most of them walk, all make some noise, and I've found the battery life to be very long. Ari then got THIS kitty:
We picked up THIS penguin for my niece's birthday next week:
Ari is starting to get into Barbie dolls, and she received THIS set last year:
She loves anything with animals/veterinarians, so THIS would make a great set, too:
Both of my kids like watching the Barbie movies, and these have been some of their recent favorites that also have matching dolls to purchase:
Like my son, Ari LOVES to color and draw. Since she's still in preschool and can only be trusted with a regular marker 99.5% of the time, we love Crayola's Color Wonder supplies.
THIS pack would make a great stocking stuffer:
And who doesn't know a little girl who loves stamps!? THIS would be pefect for the budding artist:
You can also buy packs of just the markers to use on the special paper HERE.
And while we're on the topic of art, Ari uses THESE crayons pretty much every day. They're not sharp like your standard Crayolas, but you can retract them so they don't break in half.
If your kiddo is anything like mine, then she will love anything pet vet related. Ari has had THIS Barbie set for years and still plays with it:
She also got THIS Doc McStuffins set for her birthday, and it coincides perfectly with her Barbie set:Board Games
My Roo loves to play Bingo, and so we have a cheap paper version for every holiday of the year! THIS would make a great present:
She got THIS game last year, and it's perfect because the instructions are simple enough for a little kid to understand (and even play on her own when needed!)
Thanks for sticking with me! I hope that you were able to get at least one idea for some of the special gals in your life. Give me your ideas for all the ladies in the comments below! Have a fabulous weekend, and I'll see you back here on Monday for our weekend recap!
