Tuesday Training: Week 2

Happy Tuesday! Last week, I shared a tutorial of my favorite app, My Fitness Pal. I definitely credit the app for helping me lose over 10 pounds recently. Along with using the app, I also got into a good workout groove.

This week, I want to tell you a little bit about a routine that has been working for me, and then each week, I'll share a different video for you to add into the mix. If you haven't heard of Popsugar Fitness, you're about to become a huge fan! Most of the workouts I'm going to share are from their channel, and I absolutely adore one of the hosts, Anna Renderer. She doesn't yell at you, she's encouraging, and she's fun!

In July, I discovered that the perfect formula for me is to workout for 4 days and take a break on the 5th day. Robert and I are going to run our district's 5K in February. From December - February, instead of exercising with videos for 4 days, I do 2 days of runs instead. I'm going to set you up though with my schedule for the rest of the regular year:

Day 1: Cardio and legs

10 minute cardio video

10 minute legs video

Day 2: Cardio & arms

10 minute cardio video

10 minute arms video

Day 3: Cardio & dance

Repeat a cardio video from this cycle

10 minute dance video

Day 4: P90x & yoga

10 minute P90x video

10 minute yoga video

Also, if you have time and/or want to add on some ab work, I usually do a 5 minute video after the 2 workouts. I like this one to start with:

5 minute abs video

Thanks for joining me today, and stop by every Tuesday to add a new workout to your routine. Try these ones out and comment below to tell me which one is your favorite! See you tomorrow for Shay and Erika's New Year's resolutions link-up!

    1. Yay! I love the Teddy Bass arm workout for PopSugar, as well as the lady that's Madonna's trainer. (And I love that it is all free- no gimicky Beach Body smoothies and pay to exercise DVDs!)

  3. Very cool! I do a lot of Tabata style work outs at home if I don't plan to get to the gym or go run. I would like to promote your post - if you don't mind. I'm hosting a two week challenge on my blog and this would be a great page for my readers to check out! I'll be placing your link on my blog's FB page on Thursday morning! YAY for visitors to your blog! Feel free to pop over too - FB: @cardiocab

  4. Thank you so much for posting this! I have been trying to get back into a workout groove after having a baby (7 months ago). We have the p90x DVD's that we did years ago after I had my first baby but I am not finding the time or energy to do that level of workout again (yet). I didn't want to spend money on another program - these are PERFECT! I'm going to try your 4 on, one off idea too. And I have been using My Fitness Pal for awhile now and love it! I've got a long way to go to get to my goal weight but these workouts are so doable. Thanks so much for sharing and I'm definitely going to be sharing and bookmarking this post!

    1. Oh good! I hope that you enjoy these videos and get back into the groove of things. 2nd babies are hard and my energy levels have been zapped, so these quick videos are great!
