Life With the Lees: Weekend Recap 2.13.17

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend! I'm always so exhausted by the time the week ends, I pass out by 9:30! Before falling asleep, I started my next book, Don't Worry, It Gets Worse. I bought it a few years ago after reading about it in a magazine, started it on a plane, and never finished it. I vowed to not purchase any new books until I finish the ones I have sitting on my shelves. One down, six more to go!

We were up and at 'em early Saturday morning to drive down south for some strawberry picking!

We all got new 'dos on Friday as evidenced here.

We made it to the strawberry farm! Ari loves the buckets- she saves them to play with in the swimming pool during the summer. We ended up picking almost 6 pounds of berries! Of course we can't eat all of them, so we saved what we would use and took the leftovers to neighbors.

We usually go to the big Bass Pro Shop by the strawberry farm, but Robert has been wanting to visit the Cabela's store. If you're in the Houston area, prepare to be disappointed. Go to Bass Pro Shop instead. Robert talked with one of the employees who said the Houston store is one of the smallest stores in the chain. You live, you learn!

The Roo wrote this in the car on the way home. It's the entire ABC song! "Now I no my ABC next tum wot you seg wif me" :)

After lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Ninfa's, the boys and girls split up for errands. Pit stop with Batman at Target!

Trip has been reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series, so after dinner, he asked if we could watch the movie. It was pretty funny!

On Sunday, I got one of my final runs in before this weekend's 5K, and a bunch of pups lined up to see Dr. Lee.

I made some chocolate chip cookie dough balls from Trisha Yearwood, and then we wrapped up some chores around the house.

I hope you'll come back a few more times this week! I'm linking up for the Momfessionals' Show and Tell Tuesday and will also have a new workout added to my Tuesday Training series. I also have my own Day in the Life post planned for this Wednesday. And don't forget to link up with me and the ladies of Moms' Coffee Date on Thursday to share what's in your makeup drawer! See you soon!

  1. Yum fresh strawberries are the best! That's such a bummer about Cabela's! I feel like it's the opposite here. Bass Pro is just so-so, but the Cabela's is enormous and it's almost more like a museum than a store! When we go we easily spend 5 or 6 hours there! If you ever come to Pennsylvania you will have to check it out!

    1. That's interesting how they're totally opposite in PA! Happy V Day!
