Life With the Lees: Weekend Recap 2.6.17

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! Everything was pretty calm around here. We had some changes in plans this weekend, so we decided to try out Applebee's for dinner on Friday. It was okay - nothing special, but we had really good service, so that was nice for a change.

I woke up fairly early on Saturday and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got my workout and some cleaning in before the kids woke up. It was nice to be done with everything I had to do that early in the day! We got dressed and headed out for errands.

We hit up Michael's for some party invitation supplies. These two have never met a stuffed animal they didn't like!

After taking advantage of some Old Navy super cash, we headed to Target and used some of the Starbucks gift cards from my students.

We had signed up Ari for softball earlier in the day, so she checked out some equipment.

I took a solo trip to Hobby Lobby to gather some more supplies for the Roo's upcoming birthday party and may have window shopped for myself!

Trip and I picked a Boston cream pie poke cake for our weekend baking adventure. Delish!

This kid played with Legos for HOURS on end!

Ari and I worked on her birthday party invitations. I can't wait to share her party with you- here's a peek!

On Sunday, we ran some errands and did our chores. Have you ever been to an Amazon locker? Robert had to return an item to Amazon and was told to return it to a locker location. Kind of cool knowing that your stuff was going right back to Amazon instead of through a third party.

The rain stopped pretty early in the day, so I got a run in and took the kids to the playground to enjoy our awesome weather.

We did some more chores and then read some new books that we picked up at the library earlier in the day.

We're not really football people, but we watched since it's the Super Bowl and since it's in Houston! The girls cheered for the Falcons and the boys went for the Patriots. I was really proud of myself there until the last few minutes of the game!

I hope that you had a super fun weekend! If you ate a little more than you planned to last night like me, stop on by tomorrow to add some new workouts to your routine. See you soon!

  1. Looks like you had a great weekend!!! I love that you and Trip bake something together on the weekends. That's so sweet (literally and figuratively😉) and what great training for him...his future wife will owe you a big "Thank you". Have a good week!!!

    1. Thanks, Lisa! The cake was delicious! I'm going to make it again but put the whole thing of pudding on like it originally called for. I hope Trip has picked up a thing or two- we're working on details and measuring.
