Tuesday Training: Week 8

Hi! My running days are over until November, so it's time to amp up my daily workouts. YouTube recommended this workout to me because of all of the PopSugar workouts that I do. Lauren will work you out hard and have you dripping in sweat by the time the workout is over, but you won't be hurting thanks to the low-impact exercises. Try it this week, and tell me your thoughts: Low-Impact Cardio and Toning Workout That's Perfect for Beginners, Too

Any suggestions on how to fight your cravings? I'm back on my Prednisone steroids, and I want to eat ALL of the time! Any snack or willpower suggestions are super appreciated! See you here tomorrow for the What's Up Wednesday link-up!

  1. OK my secret to the cravings....copious amounts of water and popping altoids like a pill head. Just saying, it works for me. HAVE A GREAT DAY!

    1. I do drink a ton of water throughout the day, but I love food! I made protein chocolate mint balls and planned out my snacks for the week, but gosh, I would love a plate of nachos or a slice of cake!

  3. That looks like a good workout. I get in ruts. Like right now I'm just doing my ellip w/some abs and arms thrown in from time to time. I need to shake it up. Sorry about the prednisone. Cravings are so hard. When you want to eat, you want to eat and will power is super hard. I used to eat ice that was in my drinks and that was a good distraction, but not so good for your teeth, so I gave that up. Chewing gum? Lollipops? I'll keep thinking ;) Happy Tuesday!

    1. Ugh I loved ice chips, too, but sadly one of my sixth grade students scolded me for it, and I stopped! I'm trying to stay within my calorie intake for My Fitness Pal because I can easily gain 15 pounds on steroids, but gum is a definite option!

  4. My curb the cravings us to have a cuppa hot tea. And tomorrow on my blog I will talk about my favorite sweet treat, 100 cal and 5 g of protein, the YASSO bars. Coffee chocolate chip is my favorite. In fact, I replaced it with one of my meals and I've lost 5 pounds.

    1. I love the Yasso bars for treats at night too! I eat the Think Thin bars with 5 grams of sugar for my school lunches with a side kale and spinach salad. Those definitely helped me keep the weight off!
