Can you feel it? Spring break is ALMOST here! I'm so excited to do absolutely NOTHING! Thanks for stopping by today as I share my favorites from this week!
1) Acts of Kindness
via A Girl Obsessed
Spring has sprung, and it's impossible to not be happy this time of year! I love THIS list from Mandy at A Girl Obsessed. Taking just a little bit of time to make somebody smile costs very little, but the payoff is huge! Spread the love this spring! :)
2) Sephora Play Subscription
I was having a really bad day last week, but then I got three fabulous emails in a row, including an email from Sephora saying that I am off of the wait list and now get to start their Sephora Play! subscription service! I started doing my research after Christmas, watched a ton of unboxing videos on YouTube, did my comps, and I think this is going to be fun for just $10/month! I will definitely let you know how it goes. If you're interested, this is from the Sephora website:
What you get each month:
- Five deluxe skin care, makeup, and hair care samples (plus a fragrance bonus!) that are curated by our experts. Since beauty isn’t one-size-fits-all, we send you a selection of products that we think are the best for you, based on the answers you provide in your PLAY! PROFILE.
- A collectible makeup bag that changes with each month’s theme
- PLAY! BOOK with tips, tricks, how-tos and beauty advice
- PLAY! PASS to redeem in store for 50 bonus Beauty Insider points and a free one-on-one tutorial*
- PLAY! DATE, a monthly subscriber event for you and a friend to learn how to apply the products in your box—and more!
- Free shipping on all PLAY! by SEPHORA boxes
Mackensey at Stang&Co linked THESE Mossimo sneakers recently, and when Target ran their Presidents' Day sale, I snagged them for about $15. I wore them to school yesterday, and they were very comfy to wear around all day. They're super cute and can be worn with dresses, capris, jeans, or shorts, and they're the perfect shade of blush pink. Speaking of, check out Lisa at Coast to Coast's crush on blush HERE!
4) Kids & Memories
I've been listening to my Queen Pandora station a lot lately, and the other day, the Bee Gees came on. The song instantly put a smile on my face and reminded me of a group of students that I taught years ago. Discipline issues out the wazoo, but one day, one of the boys asked me if I could teach the class how to disco dance. Bizarre, yes? But when you teach teenagers, you're willing to find their currency and use it to your advantage. Every day that we accomplished our tasks and learned our curriculum, we hustled, YMCAed, and stayed alive for the last few minutes of class! I even choreographed a group of boys for the half time show during the spring powder puff football game. I love that something as simple as a song can bring back a flood of fun memories!
5) Touches of Spring
The kids and I got out our Easter decorations last week, and I'm loving all of our touches of spring!
I added this bow to a pre-made wreath from Marshalls, but I still feel like it's not right. Thoughts?
Just in case the Easter Bunny needs some extra eggs...
The Easter Bunny used to always bring me a little house to add to my ceramic Easter village, but I haven't seen these in years. Do you know where I can find more? The kids love to play with them, and it would be a fun tradition to start up with my own kids.
There's no such thing as too many bunnies!
I usually pick up one new bunny each year. I got the nesting eggs last year on clearance at Target, and Aurelia is mad at me for putting them so high up out of her reach!
Isn't this guy so cute? He's probably my favorite in my collection.
The kids' artwork is always fun to add to the mantle. And see those pink flowers? They're from Marshalls and look so real that my husband had to do a double-take!
No holiday is complete in our house without the tacky window clings from the dollar bin! (And the cardinal in the top corner has been there forever. He reminds us of my Popo, and the kids and I refuse to take him down!)
These three are my newest bunnies from TJ Maxx!
And while I love to make trifle desserts, I also love to use my trifle dish to decorate. I got the eggs on clearance at Hobby Lobby last year. Trip filled up the dish, and Ari let us borrow one of her bunnies to protect the eggs. If you have a little bunny lover in your life, Barnes and Noble are offering a cute plush Velveteen Rabbit for just $5 with any book purchase in store. The Easter Bunny picked one up last week to add to a certain little girl's basket this year!

In case you missed any of this week's posts:
We're hosting Ari's birthday party tomorrow, rain or shine! I can't wait for her to celebrate with her besties! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you back here on Monday for our weekend recap. See you soon!
