Friday Favorites

Hoppy Friday, friends! Hope you are getting to relax today instead of having to head into work! Today I wanted to share some of my Easter favorites with you. Check out my Easter decorations HERE!

1) Books & Activity Books

Ari loves to listen to books on tape, so I picked up this book with CD to put in the Roo's basket: Mickey and Friends: 3 Tales of Fun

She also loves to do puzzles and color, so I picked up this activity magazine at the grocery store:  Peppa Pig Magazine

I love Half Price Books and scored this book for $1 for Trip's basket, but I have a feeling his sister will try to steal it: Build Amazing Animals From Bricks You Have At Home

T has really been into the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series lately, and I loved Mad Libs as a kid, so I thought this was so fun from Target: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Mad Libs

Target ran a book and puzzle sale a few weeks back, so I was able to get this book for free! Trip loves this series, and he's a total nut about the ocean and has been asking to visit Australia, so I think this is right up his alley: Where Is The Great Barrier Reef?

2) T-Shirts & Toys

We are headed to Disney next summer, and Trip is my artiste. He loves Van Gogh, so when I saw THIS Storm Trooper Van Gogh shirt at Target, I knew it would be perfect for his Easter basket.

Do you remember Ribbon Dancer? I saw a ribbon stick at Five Below for $2, and I thought Ari would have so much fun running around with it.

Robert also picked up some 99 cent Hot Wheels motorcycles and cars to finish up their baskets. (Sometimes I think he gets them more for himself than for the kids!)

3) The Easter Egg Farm

We borrowed The Easter Egg Farm by Mary Jane Auch from the library a few weeks ago, and it was the cutest story! Check it out on YouTube HERE!

4) Cascarones

As much as I wish we could have a more traditional Easter that I grew up with, I will admit that Robert's traditional Easters are pretty fun, too! Instead of hunting for candy eggs, everyone hunts for cascarones a.k.a. confetti eggs and has a big egg cracking war! The littlest kids are always so cute and gentle when they break the eggs over your head and will even ask you your permission to crack it on you!

5) Lucy

My favorite part of the Easter trip will probably be playing with our goat, Lucy. She thinks she's a dog and cracks me up when she runs with her giant saddlebags jiggling all over! The kids have a love/hate relationship with her because she so desperately wants their attention and likes that they're closer in size to her than the horses, but she has a tendency to get a little too needy as evidenced in the picture above!

    1. Poor goat got very little love this trip- we rode horses and had to put her in a pen so she wouldn't get in the way. We tried a Google recommendation of giving her a banana for a snack, and she was not having it!

  6. Love your sweet Lucy. Kent texted me yesterday and said all those goats that were near our house are gone (and the fields are clean as a whistle). Happy Easter to y'all, Allie!!!!

  9. Does it make you happy I grew up on a boar goat farm? Yep, 300 of them! I still have a soft spot in my heart for goats and one day I may get a couple for my kiddos. I want to crack eggs on heads! Happy Easter!
