Life With the Lees: Weekend Recap 4.10.17

Happy Monday! Who is excited for a 4 day work week and long weekend!? Robert and I kicked off our weekend with a Last Man Standing marathon and officially finished season 2. If you haven't watched it yet and were a fan of shows like Reba or Still Standing, hop onto Netflix and start watching! You won't be disappointed!

If you're a mom who has become a chauffeur for all of your kids' activities, then you'll understand when I tell you that we were SO excited to get the news that Ari's Saturday baseball game was cancelled! (We have to make it up tonight during her practice time, but still- a free Saturday morning? Heaven on Earth!) So, we headed to our neighborhood's Easter egg hunt instead!

Aurelia is scared to death of the giant ice cream cone "Curly" at Dairy Queen, so I was expecting her to be terrified of the Easter Bunny, but she got excited when she saw him and walked right up to him to get her picture taken. Success!

The weather was nice so we went Jeepin' to run our errands.

We tried out a new-to-us burger place and opted to sit outside in the gorgeous weather.

Burger and garlic fries

The kids and I hit the library, and Trip found this creepy cover staring at us from the back of the shelves!

The boys and girls split up for more errands and housework, and nobody made it past 10 p.m.! On Sunday, I cooked up a bunch of meals for this week, and then we headed out to our friends' birthday party at a trampoline park. This kid loves American Ninja Warrior and really liked the course at the park!

Little sister had to get in on the action, too!

This picture looks bad because T's fighting a girl, but I promise she's a friend and she asked him to fight her!

And this little monkey did the course probably 30 times and declared herself a champion!

It's going to be a very busy week, but hopefully it goes by quickly! I've got a double post for you tomorrow with another installment of Tuesday Training and then I'm linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals to share about my proms! Have a fabulous Monday, and I'll see you soon!

    1. I kept waiting for the meltdown, and it never happened! Here's to hoping she is cool, calm, and collected around the Disney characters next year!

    1. It's supposed to rain here today, so there's a chance we may get cancelled again for tonight's game. Is it wrong to hope?!

    1. It's super fun- I have a removable hard top and want to get a soft top like my husband's so I can actually switch it myself for gorgeous drives home from work.

  4. I used to tell people I just "thought" I was busy when my kids were babies. You just don't realize what busy is until you are on the run with activities. I totally remember being excited when stuff got cancelled. (an felt a little guilty for my glee). Love the pic of Ari and the bunny. She looks cautiously happy and her sunglasses are so cute in the jeep and then hanging on her dress. What a big girl! Enjoy your 4 day week.

    1. She's been very clingy lately and told me she wasn't going to leave me to go away to college. I love her, but that girl only gets 13 more years and then I'm shipping her off for a few years! Hope you're having fun with your college baby!

  5. Such a fun weekend! We used to watch Last Man Standing a little bit when it was on TV, but we never started from the beginning so we eventually fizzled out. I need to start all over again. I just love Tim Allen!

  6. I love the picture of your children and their Easter baskets standing in front of the pool in shorts and sleeveless tops! We're used to having a chilly Easter! Hope the game went well and you all got a win!

  7. The weather has been so perfect to dine outside and put the top down! I always, always dreamed of having a jeep. I have not heard of Last Man Standing (yes...under a rock when it comes to tv) but I LOVE Tim Allen so I might have to check this out!
