Try It Thursday: Chrissy Teigen's Potatoes

Hey there! Happy Thursday, and thanks for joining me today! True story: I can't bake a potato. Correction: I couldn't bake potatoes. I couldn't bake them in the oven, the grill, or in the microwave. They were always undercooked. I had some success in the Crock-pot, but the method always made me feel like I was going to somehow burn the house down.

All of that changed this past December when I got Chrissy Teigen's cookbook, Cravings, for one of my Target Cartwheel Perks. I have quite a few of Chrissy's recipes bookmarked to try out soon, but for New Year's Eve, I made her sour cream and broccoli baked potato cakes, and they were fabulous!

So, when I was making these potato cakes, I finally learned how to perfectly bake potatoes in the microwave for a mid-week meal! This blonde thanks you, supermodel Chrissy Teigen! Scroll on down to learn Chrissy's super easy method for baking those hot potatoes!

Ingredients:
* 3 russet potatoes
* paper towels
* fixings such as green onions, bacon crumbles, sour cream, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper

Directions:
* Scrub your potatoes.
* Poke the potatoes all over with a fork.
* Get three paper towels wet.
* Wrap each potato in a paper towel.
* Put the potatoes on a plate and microwave on high for about 15 minutes.
* Slice the cooked potatoes and top with desired fixings.
* Enjoy!

Sorry if you're rolling your eyes right now for me counting this as a recipe, but this has been a game changer for me, and now I can stop wasting 45+ minutes at the grill or oven only to end up with undercooked taters! Check out more of Chrissy's tips, recipes, and tricks in her book, Cravings.

Make sure you link up to share your favorite recipe of the week, and stop by to say hello to the other bloggers! I'll see you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites- see you soon!
