Hello Monday! After a crazy weekend of kids' activities, I'm almost happy to be back to our regular work week schedule. Allergies hit me hard at the end of the week, and I tried to sleep in a bit on Saturday, but a certain child of mine showed up in my room and asked me to wake up and read about horses.
After Ari's baseball game, we hit up Dunkin Donuts. I need to remind myself that their donuts really aren't that great and that we need to go somewhere else, but I knew it was cheap and quick, plus my kids aren't donut snobs like me just yet.
We had time trials for swim team, and they're run like an actual meet. Ari made it across the pool for both freestyle and backstroke without the helpers having to intervene. She cracked everyone up though because she smiled the whole way down the pool after spotting us and kept looking at us while swimming! Trip had to race 4 times now that he moved up to the next age group. He has had a lot of fun learning the new strokes, and I felt bad that I had to leave him before he was done.
The pictures are blurry but that's because this thing wouldn't stop jumping at her friend's birthday party! You'd think she would have crashed after baseball and swim team, but she kept on going!
The movie of the night was Secretariat. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a pretty neat story and a fun cast!
Going through the mail yesterday, I learned that 31 now qualifies you for the senior citizen discount for some things! You know, because I'm so interested in flashbacking to my life in the '40s and '50s!
We don't have anything too crazy going on this week which is great! If you're a teacher, thank you for all that you do for our students, and I hope you have a great teacher appreciation week and are spoiled rotten! See you back here tomorrow for another round of Tuesday Training!
