I took the day off of work on Thursday to take Aurelia to her kindergarten preview day. She picked out her own outfit and accessories- I'm loving/hating that she has such an opinion about these things these days! She was really excited to visit her school, and then we had a girls' lunch at her pick, La Madeleine- all hail the chocolate croissant!
The paparazzi snapped me while I got a haircut from Ms. Astoria, and apparently she posted a picture she had drawn on my phone to Facebook! I'm thinking twice before I hand over my phone in the future!
Robert surprised me with the Samsung Gear Fit as an early Mother's Day present because I was wanting something that would play music that I could run to. In less than 24 hours, we opted to send it back. The calorie count and step tracker were insanely off. For example, I received 45 steps while sitting in a chair to tie my shoes, and every time I moved my arms, I got steps. I have yet to read a review of a device that meets all of my needs, and that's why I haven't pulled the trigger.
Ari had baseball bright and early on Saturday morning, and luckily we were swim meet free for the day!
The pool was 77 degrees, and these 2 couldn't stay away from the water!
We had been watching Kentucky Derby coverage throughout the day. After hopping out of the pool, we watched the big race. We were pulling for Patch but got outrun!
Robert finished up another Calculus course, so I made a halved order of breakfast bake with challah to celebrate on Sunday morning, and then I made some lemon crinkle cookies for our 6th grade standardized testing snack room today. Ari and I also found blue velvet cake mix and made that into crinkle cookies to surprise her teacher who is due with a baby boy any week now.
We've got our typical week of practices ahead. I'm back tomorrow for Show & Tell Tuesday and week 20 of Tuesday Training! See you soon!
