Show & Tell Tuesday: Memory Lane

Hey there! Thanks for joining me today as I link up with Andrea at Momfessionals to share some of my childhood favorites!

Favorite book
I lived for The Babysitters Club growing up! I started with the Little Sister series about Kristy's step-sister Karen and then moved into The BSC shortly after. My friend had tapes of the one season tv series, and we watched them over and over again.

Favorite game
One year, Santa brought me Mall Madness. I only have brothers, but it was such a fun game that I could convince them to play it with me. My younger brother even made his voicemail a recording of the game's announcer!

Favorite toy
I had a ton of Barbies as a kid, and I loved to draw with my Fashion Plates!

Favorite movies
The 90s were an awesome time for kids' movies! I have shared a lot of these with my own kids now. Some of my favorites were The Sandlot, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Mighty DucksMatilda, and Cool Runnings!

Favorite shows
We got cable when I was in third grade, and for kid shows, I loved everything on Nickelodeon. I wish they still showed these on tv for my kids - Clarissa Explains It All, Pete & Pete, and Salute Your Shorts!

Did we have anything in common? Tell me what some of your childhood favorites were in the comments below! One thing I miss about childhood? Not having to worry about working out! Alas, I'm no longer a kid, so if you're needing a workout, head on over to this morning's Tuesday Training post. I'll see you back here tomorrow for Workin' It Wednesday!

  1. I concur with every one of these! I think I had every single Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High book. I loved fashion plates and I would probably still play Mall Madness if I had it.

    1. Oh that's fun- Trip would love a car one. I need to get on Amazon and Target and see what the updated ones are like these days. I feel like there was a Project Runway one a few years back.

    1. I wish I had thought to save my BSC for my daughter one day. The Little Sister series is a great beginner chapter book level.

  13. I had the original fashion plates back in the late 70's! Loved them so much! I remember you could flip the plate and there'd be a texture you could color over to make florals & plaids!!!!
