What I Wore Wednesday: Denim Jacket Love

Hi! I feel like I haven't posted a What I Wore Wednesday in a while, and when Daylight Savings came around, I wasn't really able to get photos before heading to school. I'm linking up with Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine and The Pleated Poppy to share some recent looks. (Please forgive the backgrounds and lighting!)

The weather has been all over the place this spring, and I freeze easily, so I've worn my jean jacket multiple times each week. My jacket is 12 years old, and I'm going to need a new one soon. Any suggestions for me? Tell me in the comments below!

I jumped out of my comfort zone when I saw these Cynthia Rowley pants at Marshalls back in March. I absolutely love them and am able to wear them with a variety of tops!

Jacket: Pepe Jeans from Marshalls - old (similar)
Slacks: Cynthia Rowley from Marshalls (similar)
Purse: Old Navy - old (similar)

I love mixing girly and tomboy pieces together, and Trip always loves when I wear camouflage. He seems to always have an opinion about clothes when he is forced to tag along with me, and when he was a toddler, he always asked me to buy "ranch clothes" aka camouflage. I also love my chambray flip flops from Academy. I'm having a hard time finding them on their site, but I linked some cuter, fancier options below.

Jacket: Pepe Jeans from Marshalls - old (similar)
Tee: Mossimo from Target (similar)
Pants: Old Navy - old (similar)
Chambray sandals: O'Rageous from Academy (espadrille option, heel option)
Necklace: Forever 21 (similar)

If the last outfit didn't alert you to the fact that I love bright colors, then you better get the picture with this one! I'm actually planning to repeat this one tomorrow because I loved it so much! If you haven't checked out Purple Peridot, head over there ASAP. They have quality jewelry at great prices. They also run a ton of great sales, and their Instagram account is gorgeous (and gives up some great outfit/jewelry combos!) Speaking of which, are you following ME on Instagram?!

Thanks for joining me today! Don't forget to tell me where I should go to get my next denim jacket. I hope you'll link up with me tomorrow for Try It Thursday. See you soon!

  4. LOVE all these looks! Denim jackets really do work great with everything! Definitely check Old Navy for a new one... they pretty much sell them there year round. That's where I got mine from about 4 or 5 years ago and I still love it!

    1. On ON, they have one that's really dark washed and it's 30% off everything right now- very intriguing!

  5. I have been thinking about getting a denim jacket this spring. I have never owned one. They look so cute on others. Love your fashion looks Al! Wondering if I should look at white denim or regular.

    1. I vote both! I've been wanting a white one forever, but I also know that I'm a total mess and would have it destroyed in no time flat!

  6. You can't beat a good jean jacket. I have a light version, darker version and a white one (I just folded two of them to pack). I love my KUT light one from Nordstrom if you want to invest a little. My darker one is American Eagle and they have good sales. My white one is Old Navy. Love the new floral pants. Super cute. Happy Wednesday!!!!

    1. Good idea! Their swimsuits are so freaking cute too, but I stocked up at ON last year and don't need a 10th bikini!

  7. I definitely think a great blue jean jacket is hard to beat...I want mine to be a little softer and not too stiff. It seems like when I've browsed the ON jackets they fit my recs. Love your combos and definitely love how you dressed up the camo!

    1. Thanks, Shelly! I need to venture into a brick and mortar ON to see if they have some better deals in store on jackets than online.
