Life With the Lees: Weekend Recap 6.5.17

Hi! As of Thursday, I am finally on summer vacation! I finished packing up my classroom and said my goodbyes and left the only district I've ever worked in. On with new adventures!

We celebrated my next chapter with a late lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and were so full, we skipped out on dinner. Instead, we picked up cake slices at a local grocery store, and saw this creeper. What the heck?!

Robert and I took the kids to swim team on Friday morning and then stopped by Krispy Kreme for National Donut Day. It was so bright outside, I couldn't see our selfie, so this was the best I could get!

We attempted some pool time but were quickly run off by a storm. This little lady has quite the obsession and spent a good part of the day playing Black Beauty.

We had Taco Tuesday on a Friday out by our pool for dinner!

The storms cancelled Ari's baseball game, so we spent Saturday cheering on Trip at his swim meet. I am really amazed at how well he swims the butterfly, considering he just learned it a few weeks ago! We picked up some lunch and then hit the pool before the storms rolled in. The kids played a new Lion Guard game together while I got dinner prepped.

We had family movie night, Atlantis, and Ari and I are 2 for 2 in falling asleep during the movie!

Sunday brought more storms, housecleaning, and reading time.

Robert starts teaching summer school this week, so the kids and I are starting our summer schedule today. Hoping we'll be able to get into the pool again at some point! I'm also back on the exercise wagon today, so make sure you stop by tomorrow for a brand new Tuesday Training! See you soon!

    1. It was Ari's idea to eat outside, and we really need to be better about dining al fresco more often!

  3. Sounds like a great weekend. Sorry that the storms dampened some of your plans but sometimes I welcome the rain. It forces you to slow down and just relax a bit. I'm glad you had some great family time.

  4. Hooray for summer vacation! And WHAT is that thing doing in the cake section? Is it wearing an apron and "holding" an apple? I have questions.
Love your recap! :D Looks like an awesome weekend, even with the rain.

    1. Technically, he was in the deli section, but still weird as all get out! I would not want a bbq catered if that was the mascot! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Yes! I'll be driving about 20 minutes against traffic instead of a hour in traffic- so excited but also nervous about relearning the curriculum again!

    1. LOL! I think part of the reason we don't go to the movies much anymore is because one of us is guaranteed to pass out. I nodded off about 4 times in Beauty and the Beast!

  8. Aren't you glad Taco Tuesdays can be celebrated any night of the week? We celebrated National Donut day about a week early while we were in Bama for Alise's birthday only because we don't have a Krispie Kreme where we live. Boo!

    1. I actually prefer Shipley's Donuts over all of them, but hey, a free donut is a free donut! :)
